Current
Projects
Several projects are currently underway at WFCG facilities. Find out

- Catacel, the
Garrettsville, Ohio-based company, is developing and testing
fuel reforming technologies at the University of Toledo.
- Contained
Energy, a
direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC) company, is working
at WFCG’s
Case Western Reserve University facility to develop an application for the mobile
power and distributed power generation markets.
- GrafTech International is
working with WFCG to carry out testing and analysis of GRAFCELL® bipolar
plates for the company’s DOE project entitled “Next
Generation Bipolar Plates for Automotive PEM Fuel Cells.
- HydroGen
Corporation,
a PAFC manufacturer headquartered at WFCG’s building at
Case Western Reserve University, is working on full scale commercialization
of a 400 kW demonstration plant.
- MetaMateria Partners,
a Columbus, Ohio-based manufacturer, is using state-of-the-art
characterization equipment (purchased using WFCG funds) to develop
colloidal coatings.
- NexTech, a
Columbus, Ohio, company, has partnered with Plug Power to develop
fuel stacks. WFCG will provide accelerated testing
techniques to significantly reduce time and
resources needed for the project.
- SOFCo-EFS,
an Alliance, Ohio, company, is working with
WFCG and the Stark State College of Technology to establish the
new Fuel Cell Prototyping Center.
